About Pamela
Pamela is an occupational therapist with 35 years of experience, dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence and live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Alongside her professional career, dance has always been an important part of who she is. She has loved dance since her first ballet class at the age of eight and has continued training and performing in jazz, lyrical, ballet, and heels dance. Dance has always been a source of joy for her, whether she is moving to music for herself or performing for an audience.
She is very proud to be part of the SJ Adaptive Dance Program Team, which beautifully brings together two important parts of her identity—the occupational therapist who adapts activities to help individuals thrive, and the dancer who loves sharing the joy of movement to music with others. Working closely together with Team Members, she hopes to create a supportive, inclusive space where every student can participate to their fullest capacity. Her goal is to help each dancer feel successful, confident, and joyful while experiencing the magic of movement and music.

Pamela's favourite dance memory:
"One of my earliest dance highlights was being chosen at age 13 to perform with the Pacific Northwest Ballet in their production of The Nutcracker. Since then, I’ve enjoyed many wonderful recitals, productions, competitions, and shows - with inspiring teachers past and present (Sophie!) - performing everywhere from streets and back alleys to forests, rivers and stages."
