About Queeny
Queeny is a passionate dancer and high school student who has trained in ballet since the age of five. Ballet has shaped her discipline, artistry, and understanding of how dance builds confidence and community. After experiencing several injuries, she founded Dancer’s Guide by Dancers, an NGO providing resources on dancers’ physical and mental well-being and hosting international forums on performance psychology. She also leads weekly dance therapy sessions at a senior care residence, guiding residents through ballet-inspired movements and creating moments of joy, memorable conversations and shared laughter, while teaching ballet to young dancers at SJ Dance Productions.
She is excited to join the team because she is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive space where dance is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or experience. Being part of a program that emphasizes inclusivity aligns with her belief that movement can inspire self-expression and strengthen connections among dancers. She looks forward to getting to know all the new dancers and contributing to this program by helping them enjoy movement, build confidence, and feel part of a greater dance community.
Queeny's favourite dance memory:
"Dedicating months of practice to my solo Giselle, which truly let me fully immerse myself in the character and share her story and emotion on stage. I loved every second of sharing my love for performing with the audience!“
