About Denise
Denise is a soon-to-be graduating social work student who loves bringing people and ideas together to build community. She is bringing her work experience in nonprofit, including community outreach, program coordination, grant writing, and volunteer management to the team. Denise enjoys creating partnerships, welcoming spaces, and advocating for social equity. She’s excited to help grow an adaptive dance program where participants can connect, feel valued, and simply enjoy moving together.
Joining the team felt like a natural way for Denise to combine two things she loves: community work and dance. Having grown up in Chinese dance and ballet, she knows how much joy, confidence and self-care movement can bring. She hopes this program creates a warm and supportive space where people of all ages, sizes, and abilities can feel included and truly belong.

Denise's favourite dance memory:
"Too many to choose! I recently fell in love with lyrical contemporary for its emotion, freedom, and storytelling. Wednesday, Sophie’s lyrical class, is now my favourite day of the week! Growing up on dance teams, I also love the friendships as much as the dancing itself, especially the chats and laughs before and after practice in the changing room (iykyk!)."
