About Sophie
Sophie is the founder of SJ Dance Productions. Ballet has been her lifelong love, not just for its beauty and discipline, but for the way it allows us to express feelings that words sometimes cannot. She truly believe that every single child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of movement, the magic of music, and the pride that comes from learning something new.
Creating an adaptive dance program at SJ Dance Productions has always been deeply important to Sophie. Dance is not about fitting into a mold but about finding your own rhythm, your own strength, and your own spark. Every child moves differently, learns differently, and shines differently and that is something to celebrate.
Sophie's hope for this program is that every child who walks into SJ Dance Productions feels safe, seen, and valued. That they leave a little taller, a little braver, and full of joy. Because every child deserves to dance with passion, with freedom, and with their whole heart.
Sophie's favourite dance memory:
"One of my most cherished dance memories was the very first year I stood on stage for bows with my tiny dancers. Holding their little hands, feeling their excitement and nerves, and seeing the pride on their faces as the audience clapped, it was a moment that reminded me exactly why I do this. Dance builds confidence, community, and courage. It creates belonging."
